From Sichuan, China. A very decorative, vigorous, clumping bamboo. The new growth shows orange sheaths opening to blue and pink canes. When the cane matures all this is green. The long and slender leaves are green. New canes emerge all summer. This bamboo is good in sun or shade but not for southern states. Give it less sun the warmer the climate. The colors are particularly strong Spring and Fall.
